Eco-friendly - Saa is also made from
mulberry trees, which spread from birds that eat the berries and
grow abundantly in some areas. The trees produce many branches that
are harvested annually, in a manner preserving the tree, and the
bark is stripped for Saa pulp production. The manufacturing of handmade papers is achieved
largely by manual labor and, therefore, production is of limited
quantity. Using only local materials and following ancient
techniques, the bark is ground down, boiled to a pulp, washed and
then laid out on sheets of very fine screening
Sometimes, the
pulp is dyed using natural pigments; or flowers and other natural
materials can be added before the sheets are dried under the
Northern Thai sun. Once the paper sheets are dry they retain a
quaint, primitive and soft textured appearance ideal for greeting cards, gift bags, stationary and
boxes. Mulberry paper is very well suited for crafting many
different products and Batik designed Saa paper is
exceptionally
attractive.

boxes, souvenirs, and all kinds of packaging according to our
clients’ demands. Now, our main buyers are from the USA, Japan and
countries around the European region such as; Italy, France and UK.
